okay I'd like to call this meeting of the Fall River of a licensing bullet to order it is Wednesday January 18 2023 and I believe we have 502.

I'd like to read the open meeting law disclaimer pursuant to the open meeting law any person may make an audio video recording of this public meeting or may transmit the meeting through any media attendees are therefore advised that such recordings or Transmissions are being made whether perceived or unperceived by those present in a deemed acknowledged and permissible the city Charter section 9-18 mandates that all

multiple member bodies develop and adopt rules or policy for public comment we have adopted such a policy which ensure provides for Citizens input on licensing board specific matters at the beginning of the meeting there is a sign up sheet located in the back of the room so with that we'll open up the agenda item 1A is public slash citizens input would anybody like to speak on any matter on the agenda

saying that no one has signed up we'll move on to item number two of the agenda common victual is licensed the first uh application is 2A Dominican Restaurant 645 Rodman Street nasiza Hernandez could you come forward and and come and sit at the microphone

could you state your name and address for the record into the please speak into the microphone Miss Hernandez and it looks like you're here we have an application for common Victory license seating capacity of 20. yes that's accurate um could you tell us the give us a brief description of the restaurant and if you could give us your hours of operation please um the restaurant and this style is

closed before work okay and is closed but uh I thought going to open in in this moment maybe okay do you anticipate have you have you set forth the hours that you're going to operate is it going to be seven days a week seven days a week on night through 9 30.

and it looks like we have an application for a new beer and wine Package Store uh license um I know we have a full floor plan in the folder we have no objection on the part of the police department um Maurice is going to be the manager uh yes let me give you a little factual background so uh my client was a partner in a business located at 167 Broadway the real estate was recently foreclosed

upon and the license was not renewed he runs a convenience store at 1320 Pleasant Street in Fall River it's known as Moe's variety and he liked to apply for the beer and wine license that used to pertain to the premises at 167 Broadway and move it to his existing location on Pleasant Street there's no alteration of the premises it's effectively the kind of thing where instead of as much Gatorade you're going

to put some beer where that was in the coolers right ultimately um so that that's the the pitch in the end game is to obtain that license and as I said there was a floor plan in the folder attorney celino or Maurice can you uh for the record State the hours of operation 7 AM to 11 P.M Monday through Saturday and on Sundays 8 A.M to 11 p.m okay we have to we also need the hours

that you'd be selling the beer and wine because you can't sell at 7am um so it'll be from 9 A.M till uh can't be eight oh okay eight a.m 10 on Sunday so okay so can you say them again was it just the alcohol abortion Monday through Saturday 8 A.M till 10 P.M and Sundays 10 a.m till 6 pm uh I think it would be best here for us to take two motions one on the license

Incorporated doing business as Origin restaurant bar and grill at 159 South Main Street with me this evening is Mr Elvis ver DeSoto who's the proposed manager of this restaurant the restaurant is taking the space that once was an Asian restaurant at 159 South Main Street even though the mailing address is 151 South Main Street the property address is known as 159 South Main Street they vented into a lease for the

premises the Elvis's wife Maria is has been involved in the restaurant business along with one of the other owners uh Mr Jeanette Melgar who's also here so they want the full alcohol license to complement the restaurant the restaurant fair is going to be Latin American in nature and Mr verdizotto finished his Safe Serve certificate I believe I gave it to miss ayash Maria already has her Safe Serve

certificate that it should be part of the file hours of operation is what they're thinking about is Sunday through Wednesday 11 A.M to 11 p.m Thursday through Saturday the request is from 11 A.M to 2 P.M a.m 11 A.M to 2 A.M yes ma'am but I'm already in bed so it's still PM so I'm going to tell you you are correct and that's what's before the board and thank you thank you the uh so again

breaking this down uh it appears that we would have a request for well we need three separate motions here one on the license um one on um Mr frede zoto yes David you want to mention the entertainment oh sure the there was also the request for the thank you yeah there's also the request for the entertainment portion of it they're not sure what they're going to do but it's either going to be

karaoke uh or live entertainment so those are the two component pieces I don't think there's it could be a disc jockey too and we have we've had some recorded music also checked off so yeah thank you so much myself so again so again getting back up for

this is the former Water Street Cafe yes okay and can you give me a little bit of a vision on what you're looking to do there seating capacity food okay so the capacity is not going to change is uh there's a venue hall and then The Cafe restaurant so the venue Hall is 99 the restaurant bar area is 93.

so that's the full capacity it's going to be a fusion of Italian and Portuguese uh with pizza with a Quick Serve um we're not doing anything uh specifically changing in in the venue or bar area besides paint and tables no aesthetic no major renovations you say yes I'm just looking for the entertainment it's um it's white because I faxed it to us so it might be in the very beginning Maybe

it's in there it is okay and we have an entertainment application for recorded music same as the last uh live music and or karaoke That's accurate yes okay hours of operation no 11 A.M to 2 A.M seven days a week Monday you can only open till one oh till one yes so six days yeah so Monday through Saturday 11 A.M to 2 A.M could you repeat Sunday for me like 11 A.M to 1am foreign
