The 2025 Fall River Firefighter Memorial Ceremony was held on June 8, 2025, to honor firefighters who made the ultimate sacrifice and those who passed away in the last year. The ceremony began with a moment of silence for victims of a tragic call in Portsmouth, Dora Duza and her family, and active duty Firefighter Scott Casey, who died months before his scheduled retirement. The Master of Ceremonies explained the purpose of honoring the 22 names etched on the memorial bell, representing those who gave their lives for the city and department. Fire Chaplain Father Reine offered an invocation, remembering both fallen and retired firefighters and praying for the continued protection of current members.
