Stephanie McArthur, Director of Traffic and Parking.
In
Out
0:32
Chris Hathaway, Director of Community Maintenance.
In

Helen Rigo.
In
Out
0:36
John Lapointe.
In
Out
0:37
Thomas Forrest, Foreword Police.
In
Out
0:40
Can we get a motion for approval of the July 15th agenda?
In
Out
0:44
Motion.
In
Out
0:45
First by John, seconded by Chris.
In
Out
0:48
Is there anybody here for Citizen input, something that is not on the agenda tonight, something that they just want to come in and discuss.
In
Out
0:59
Anybody?
In
Out
1:00
Okay, there is nobody coming forward for that.
In
Out
1:03
First up are the curb cut applicants, Jessica and Mark Forslund.
In
Out
1:10
Okay, you can stay right there.
In
Out
1:13
The engineering department has reviewed that application as well as the location.
In
Out
1:17
They found no issues and there are no objections to it.
In
Out
1:22
And that location is 498 Reading Street.
In
Out
1:27
The existing parcel was previously served by a 13-foot curb cut driveway on Reading Street.
In
Out
1:31
The applicant requests permission to create an additional 12-foot curb opening driveway along Montgomery Street.
In
Out
1:37
The total opening for the location will be 25 feet.
In
Out
1:40
Previous asphalt pavers will be required.
In
Out
1:43
Any new driveway beyond the sidewalk area The— again, the engineering department has reviewed that application as well as the location.
In
Out
1:50
They have found no issues, and there are no objections to the request per the city engineer.
In
Out
1:56
Motion to approve that.
In
Out
1:57
Motion approved, first by John, second, and second by Helen.
In
Out
2:00
You're all set.
In
Out
2:09
Miscellaneous table requests, there are none.
In
Out
2:13
Miscellaneous request from Shoreline Solutions at 4510th Street for a loading zone.
In
Out
2:26
You're requesting zone signage outside the business?
In
Out
2:31
Yes.
In
Out
2:31
You can come on up.
In
Out
2:34
Just tell us your name and your address for the record, if you could please, sir.
In
Out
2:37
Peter Amaral, 4510th Street.
In
Out
2:39
Street, Fall River.
In
Out
2:41
Um, obviously it's a one-way street, you can't park on one side, you can only park on one side.
In
Out
2:46
Uh, I'm the only business on that street.
In
Out
2:49
Empire Hyundai and Uno's, uh, parks all along the street.
In
Out
2:53
Right in front of the building, there's like a parking spot that's like maybe a car and a half, maybe.
In
Out
3:00
So the building hasn't been used in many, many years, so we are refacing it, cleaning it up.
In
Out
3:06
It's going to be for storage, loading and unloading outboards and stuff.
In
Out
3:10
Um, online sales only.
In
Out
3:13
But every time we've been pulling up, we have cars overhang.
In
Out
3:17
Sure, can't come in through the doors.
In
Out
3:19
Um, at one point it looks like the curbs, the ends were painted yellow.
In
Out
3:24
They're faded, I get it.
In
Out
3:26
Uh, I just need a spot to pull in, unload safely instead of parking on the other side of the street, right?
In
Out
3:33
And, uh, you know, I'll take any kind of recommendation from the board— what kind of parking, loading zone, no parking, anything.
In
Out
3:42
Just so I could have access to the, to the building.
In
Out
3:46
Just the, uh, it looks like you're looking for your business hours of operation Sunday and Saturday.
In
Out
3:55
No, it's, uh, it's like a Sunday through Saturday.
In
Out
3:58
Yeah, it's all week, 6 AM to 7 PM.
In
Out
4:01
Yeah, what it is is, uh, from Maine to New Jersey we get stuff, I go pick up stuff, so it— the times vary.
In
Out
4:09
I missed what you said.
In
Out
4:10
What do you store in there?
In
Out
4:11
Uh, I have, uh, a business in Middleborough.
In
Out
4:14
So this is a secondary for like extra storage for outboards, engines.
In
Out
4:18
Oh, okay.
In
Out
4:19
Yeah, yeah.
In
Out
4:19
So they come on pallets, uh, they're advertised online, they get palletized, they get picked up, put on the truck, see you later, bye.
In
Out
4:28
It's not like a store that come on in, check out the place.
In
Out
4:32
It's, it's just for loading purposes and stuff.
In
Out
4:36
But the building used to have parking many, many years ago, but it was sold to Broome Brome put a fence there, and the curb is cut.
In
Out
4:44
So where you can see the old existing parking lot, everybody parks there.
In
Out
4:48
That's fine.
In
Out
4:49
It doesn't affect me.
In
Out
4:51
What affects me is in front of the building and in front of the doors.
In
Out
4:54
So you're requesting it in that specific area in between the 2 curb cuts for the garages, correct?
In
Out
4:59
So that one area that's probably about 30 feet, if I can get 2 parking spots, maybe 3, that would be absolutely great.
In
Out
5:08
But, you know, like I said, it's the only business on the street, you know.
In
Out
5:12
Uh, Empire Hyundai, I think it's Pleasant Street.
In
Out
5:16
There's like a little repair facility on the side of me, that's Bethel.
In
Out
5:21
Broom is obviously on the other side of, uh, Bethel.
In
Out
5:24
And that's it.
In
Out
5:25
That's the only place on that whole street.
In
Out
5:27
But parking is very difficult.
In
Out
5:34
Sunday through Saturday?
In
Out
5:37
Sunday through Monday through Sunday.
In
Out
5:40
Sunday, Sunday is not a bad time.
In
Out
5:43
Usually when I pull in there, it's pretty cleared out because Empire Hyundai is closed, so it's not a huge deal.
In
Out
5:50
Uh, I've also called the police a few times, and I hate to use the police resources to ticket or move cars out of the way, which they haven't, because I'll be there for an hour Nobody shows up.
In
Out
6:01
As soon as the police show up, people just come out of nowhere, they start moving their cars.
In
Out
6:04
So I get it, man.
In
Out
6:06
I'm not trying to be that guy.
In
Out
6:07
I just need safe parking to unload and, uh, and load up, and hopefully a parking spot for myself too, because I don't have any off-street parking.
In
Out
6:19
That's all week, 6 AM to 7 PM, more or less.
In
Out
6:24
More or less.
In
Out
6:25
More or less.
In
Out
6:26
The motion on the board for that?
In
Out
6:31
6 AM to 7 PM every day?
In
Out
6:35
Correct.
In
Out
6:37
If not, and what are we going to make?
In
Out
6:38
We're making a motion for 2 spots or just that section?
In
Out
6:43
There's a spot in the middle that has a curb, but it's the 2 garages on the end of the building, right?
In
Out
6:49
I see you.
In
Out
6:50
Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, on that end it's got a small— can I connect?
In
Out
6:53
Yeah, yeah, of course.
In
Out
6:54
There's a small curb here, and then it's a cut curb, but that little repair facility there, they put a fence there, so everybody parks there.
In
Out
7:04
I get it.
In
Out
7:06
Um, as you can see, that car, it's hanging over, you know.
In
Out
7:10
Is that an entrance door?
In
Out
7:11
Is that a garage door?
In
Out
7:12
Entrance door, another garage door.
In
Out
7:14
Okay, so this is all curb space.
In
Out
7:17
You know what I mean?
In
Out
7:18
Let them take it right here.
In
Out
7:18
Somebody will take it down here.
In
Out
7:20
That's what I'm thinking, right here.
In
Out
7:21
Where they park in front of the other car.
In
Out
7:23
And I don't know if you're recommending that.
In
Out
7:26
You can't really park in the driveway anymore, right?
In
Out
7:29
That's what I'm saying.
In
Out
7:31
Correct.
In
Out
7:32
I've seen a lot of it over there.
In
Out
7:33
I see, you're right.
In
Out
7:34
But don't get me wrong, um, everybody that lives around there for many years knows that it was a building that wasn't used.
In
Out
7:41
Snack Food Heaven.
In
Out
7:42
Snack Food Heaven.
In
Out
7:43
But yeah, yeah, I still have the signage though.
In
Out
7:46
It's not going anywhere.
In
Out
7:51
Okay, so there's a, a, um, driveway on opposing sides of the curb.
In
Out
7:57
Uh, curb in the middle, driveway, correct?
In
Out
7:59
Yeah, right.
In
Out
8:01
So the signs can't go on the, um, I mean, on the cut of the sidewalk.
In
Out
8:07
So, so we're recommending it to be that pretty much— that's a little bit larger than one spot, it's probably about 30 feet— that would be the loading zone.
In
Out
8:15
So it'd be right in between the 2 curb cuts.
In
Out
8:17
Yes.
In
Out
8:18
Of the garages.
In
Out
8:18
Yes, yes.
In
Out
8:19
Everything else is pretty much free game.
In
Out
8:21
I guess, right?
In
Out
8:23
Right, correct.
In
Out
8:24
Correct.
In
Out
8:24
Yeah, because the curbs are all cut.
In
Out
8:26
Yeah.
In
Out
8:27
Yep.
In
Out
8:28
Okay, I'll make a motion.
In
Out
8:30
All right, second.
In
Out
8:30
First by John, second by Chris.
In
Out
8:32
Thank you.
In
Out
8:34
All right, you're all set, sir.
In
Out
8:35
Thank you, Paul.
In
Out
8:36
Appreciate it.
In
Out
8:37
Thank you.
In
Out
8:37
10 to 12 weeks?
In
Out
8:38
Yeah, actually going to be about 14 weeks for that.
In
Out
8:40
So you'll see maintenance go out there, they're going to do some measurements.
In
Out
8:43
Still has to go to ordinance committee and full council.
In
Out
8:45
Um, you may be invited, but it's not required that you attend.
In
Out
8:48
Obviously.
In
Out
8:48
I'm sorry, correct.
In
Out
8:50
Yep, you'll be— yep, you'll be contacted for the meetings.
In
Out
8:52
Thank you.
In
Out
8:53
Thank you, sir.
In
Out
8:54
Next up is 3960 North Main Street for a traffic safety evaluation.
In
Out
8:58
Is that person here?
In
Out
8:59
3960 North Main Street requesting a traffic safety evaluation.
In
Out
9:06
That individual did contact my office.
In
Out
9:08
They're unable to attend today's meeting.
In
Out
9:10
Okay.
In
Out
9:11
Motion tabled, first by John, second by Helen.
In
Out
9:15
So we'll table that, give them an opportunity to show up next month.
In
Out
9:22
Veterans Association.
In
Out
9:23
Hi, come on up.
In
Out
9:29
Request from the Veterans Association of Bristol County for the prohibited parking to be placed at the new location, King Street at Globe.
In
Out
9:37
I did notice a very large parking lot there.
In
Out
9:42
Lot.
In
Out
9:42
So we had 100 veterans.
In
Out
9:44
If you could just state your name again.
In
Out
9:45
Oh, I'm sorry.
In
Out
9:46
I'm Sandy Curry.
In
Out
9:47
I'm the business manager.
In
Out
9:48
Thank you.
In
Out
9:48
Kenny LeBeck has the insanity to be in Florida in August.
In
Out
9:54
So we had our first cookout.
In
Out
9:56
We had 100 vets and their families there.
In
Out
9:58
Parking lot gone in the first 20 minutes.
In
Out
10:01
So now we're at street parking, both sides of the street.
In
Out
10:04
And, you know, it's really pinchy-squinchy.
In
Out
10:07
So we ended up with what I call games of chicken.
In
Out
10:10
No, you move.
In
Out
10:11
No, you move.
In
Out
10:12
Like all morning.
In
Out
10:15
So that's, that's a big drama.
In
Out
10:17
And the more day-to-day drama is getting the truck in and out.
In
Out
10:23
There's 2— there's a big white pickup truck that parks on the— in our property line on the street.
In
Out
10:31
So it creates a big blind spot.
In
Out
10:34
Right.
In
Out
10:34
And then we need a turning radius into the parking lot to do— to load and unload.
In
Out
10:39
Is that a main entrance right on King?
In
Out
10:44
Yeah, we're going to operate at 2 entrances.
In
Out
10:47
There's an established therapy and printing company on the King Street side.
In
Out
10:52
And then we're going to use the parking lot side for our activities.
In
Out
10:58
Usually move from Pine Street?
In
Out
11:00
Oh, no, ma'am.
In
Out
11:01
We have to raise about $500,000 more to finish off construction.
In
Out
11:06
We have to do construction.
In
Out
11:07
So we're about 6 months from moving, moving.
In
Out
11:10
But we are bringing stuff in and out.
In
Out
11:11
So that blind spot's pretty crucial.
In
Out
11:15
Seems reasonable.
In
Out
11:17
So from the corner of King, which would go roughly east, over to the edge of the edge of our property.
In
Out
11:26
Is it a parking lot?
In
Out
11:27
Yeah, I have the plot from the zoning board.
In
Out
11:34
Yeah, I could take a copy of it for the record.
In
Out
11:36
That's fine.
In
Out
11:37
I know, just one is fine for me.
In
Out
11:39
Is that right here?
In
Out
11:40
Thank you.
In
Out
11:40
Would that be correct to see there?
In
Out
11:43
No, I'm hoping for over here.
In
Out
11:46
Past the driveway?
In
Out
11:47
Yeah.
In
Out
11:48
So here's the— no one can park in the driveway.
In
Out
11:52
Oh, gotcha.
In
Out
11:53
Okay, King Street.
In
Out
11:54
So our property is all the way to the end of those apartments.
In
Out
11:59
And so we have this turn here and this blind spot here.
In
Out
12:02
Right, right.
In
Out
12:03
So it's just not pictured here.
In
Out
12:05
Okay.
In
Out
12:11
There we are.
In
Out
12:11
All right.
In
Out
12:18
So right there, you guys want to take a look at the— yeah, people losing a lot of sleep.
In
Out
12:34
I don't know, 20, 25, 26, maybe if you include those employees.
In
Out
12:40
There's people that come right here, that is a big blind spot.
In
Out
12:44
Oh, there's no question about it.
In
Out
12:49
Would still be difficult even making the turn if there's somebody parked over here, right?
In
Out
12:54
This spot.
In
Out
12:55
And I don't really think somebody being parked here is going to affect them.
In
Out
12:57
Well, during— in my opinion, all the way up, it's not a huge conflict during the day except for those 2.
In
Out
13:07
Then if you have a little parking sign there, that means that you Camp out there during the night.
In
Out
13:12
Okay, we have a new parking sometimes.
In
Out
13:16
Okay, do we have a driveway?
In
Out
13:20
Yeah, driveway.
In
Out
13:21
And then what looks like a driveway.
In
Out
13:25
If there's an issue, they can always remove it.
In
Out
13:31
Yeah, we can absolutely do certain times.
In
Out
13:33
Absolutely.
In
Out
13:35
How about at night?
In
Out
13:36
They can park there at night, correct?
In
Out
13:38
We can put times on it.
In
Out
13:39
We can do prohibited parking during certain hours if you want to do like a 9 to 5 or an 8 to 5.
In
Out
13:44
Okay, we could, we could do that because those people got to have a place to park at night, right?
In
Out
13:50
7 to 6 PM.
In
Out
13:51
Yeah, would be fair.
In
Out
13:53
That would be great.
In
Out
13:56
I think that's fair.
In
Out
13:57
And if anybody working in the neighborhood needs to park, they can park in the evening.
In
Out
14:02
Mm-hmm.
In
Out
14:06
Your hours are going to be the same once you open up?
In
Out
14:10
Other than, you know, the very, very occasional early delivery, we operate from 8 AM to 4 PM.
In
Out
14:19
Except on Wednesdays, we go 10 AM.
In
Out
14:23
That's pretty confined.
In
Out
14:26
Some of the other Occasional meetings at night.
In
Out
14:30
But that's very low-key.
In
Out
14:31
At that point, just permit parking lot.
In
Out
14:34
And you said you did say you did say Monday through Friday, correct?
In
Out
14:38
If Monday through Friday, I think that would be great.
In
Out
14:45
Okay.
In
Out
14:45
So request on the edge of that parking lot to Globe, which will be on the south side.
In
Out
14:53
Monday through Friday, 7 AM to 6 PM is the request.
In
Out
14:56
Is that right?
In
Out
14:57
Sorry, I'm sorry, did you say 6 PM or 7 PM?
In
Out
15:01
Sorry, 6 PM.
In
Out
15:01
6 PM.
In
Out
15:02
Okay, 7 AM to 6 PM.
In
Out
15:04
Yes, Monday through Friday.
In
Out
15:06
You're going to get some pushback from your neighbors so that most of those neighbors park in their driveway?
In
Out
15:12
Yeah, I don't know what to say exactly, except I think we all got to be safe.
In
Out
15:16
I mean, here's the thing, if there's an issue, we can revisit I mean, everybody wants to be good neighbors.
In
Out
15:21
Yeah, you know, we want to do the right thing for the, for the neighborhood.
In
Out
15:25
I think it's good for the, for the Vet Association.
In
Out
15:29
So, I mean, the building is deeply underutilized, right?
In
Out
15:34
Yeah.
In
Out
15:35
And I think it's fair that you are doing, you know, just the business hours that we're putting instead of doing it at all times.
In
Out
15:44
Correct.
In
Out
15:45
So at least on the weekends, if there's anything going on.
In
Out
15:48
Yeah.
In
Out
15:53
Motion for that?
In
Out
15:58
Yay, nay, or table?
In
Out
16:00
Second.
In
Out
16:01
No, I'll make the motion.
In
Out
16:03
First by John, second by Helen.
In
Out
16:05
And if there's pushback by the neighborhood, we can revisit and deal with it at that point.
In
Out
16:11
Sure.
In
Out
16:11
Okay.
In
Out
16:12
All right.
In
Out
16:12
Okay, man.
In
Out
16:12
Thank you.
In
Out
16:13
Thank you very much.
In
Out
16:15
We have a request from a resident on Wilson Road.
In
Out
16:19
Wilson Road requesting prohibited parking on the portion of Wilson Road where parking issues have become an issue.
In
Out
16:26
This is for the area of Gina's Restaurant.
In
Out
16:28
Is that person here?

Request for discussion and possible amendment regarding the City Ordinance 70-319, all-night parking of commercial vehicles.
In
Out
16:52
After a discussion that was held by the Ordinance Committee held on August 11, 2026.
In
Out
17:00
This is something that came before us.
In
Out
17:02
We had given some recommendations, the board had given some recommendations.
In
Out
17:07
They kept the 1-hour time frame in there.
In
Out
17:12
I had had discussion with the Committee for Public Safety, and on that, it actually may have been at this meeting, going back a few months.
In
Out
17:24
And, part of my concern was that the 2.5-ton could certainly include vans with a commercial plate, yet it's a standard length of any other van.
In
Out
17:38
My recommendation would be to up the weight limit in discussion for the board, up the weight limit to 5 tons, which would include, I think, what this ordinance meant to be all along, was the larger tow trucks, larger commercial-type vehicles.
In
Out
17:55
Tractor trailers, tractor trailers, things of that nature, and not necessarily penalizing city residents who use work vans that are over 2.5 tons with commercial plates.
In
Out
18:12
So with that, I can leave it for the board to discuss.
In
Out
18:16
My recommendation again would be a 5-ton.
In
Out
18:18
We can— and again, we can revisit this and come back and tweak it if we need to.
In
Out
18:26
Want to table it for now?
In
Out
18:27
Maybe table it, look at it to see.
In
Out
18:30
So all these big trailer trucks that park on Plymouth Avenue, that'll be stopped?
In
Out
18:34
No, those, those will fall under the ordinance.
In
Out
18:37
Those, those are well over a 5-ton vehicle.
In
Out
18:39
Right, right, right.
In
Out
18:41
Anything larger than 5 tons.
In
Out
18:43
So, you know, you see these vans with trailers on them— I mean, not trailers, ladders on them.
In
Out
18:47
Some of those are well over 2.5 tons.
In
Out
18:48
And that was part of my concern, that city residents who are doing contracting work in vans, you know, with a commercial plate, are being penalized for the ordinance when it's no different than any other van with a passenger plate, but only because they have a commercial plate on it.
In
Out
19:09
So there'd be something where we are going for the overall length.
In
Out
19:13
So that's— that is also something that the ordinance committee did recommend.
In
Out
19:17
If the board is looking to— that's what I'm saying, the trail truck, the ordinance as well, we can cut a length amount, or we can increase the tonnage.
In
Out
19:26
But I think essentially with us increasing the tonnage, that type of vehicle, depending on the length, is going to fall under the 5-ton.
In
Out
19:32
But I mean, the ordinance committee did recommend that if we wanted to do some type of length.
In
Out
19:39
Yeah, that's a possibility.
In
Out
19:41
I would agree that The longer the vehicle, the more tonnage is going to be.
In
Out
19:47
And I certainly think it would fall for, you know, the tow trucks and the larger, larger commercial vehicles that we've seen parked on city streets in the overnight hours.
In
Out
19:57
So, but again, we can, you know, the board can discuss adding a length, adding a weight, increasing the weight.
In
Out
20:04
And this issue is now becoming because of the increased enforcement.
In
Out
20:08
We do have parking control out there certain nights of the week enforcing this specific ordinance because it has been a complaint that has been brought to us by the public and the Public Safety Committee.
In
Out
20:19
So I think we should get it right once and the increase in length and width and correct instead of trying to piece it together and backtrack.
In
Out
20:27
And let's get it right one time that's fair and reasonable.
In
Out
20:30
And the ordinance committee and council did increase the fee as well, which we had recommended with our last recommendation.
In
Out
20:40
They just didn't want to remove that 1-hour timeframe, but they did approve the increased fee to $250.
In
Out
20:46
$250, correct.
In
Out
20:48
So maybe increase, increase the weight limit and add in length, maybe 18 or 20 feet.
In
Out
20:57
Well, an average space is 20 feet.
In
Out
20:59
I mean, a pickup truck would maybe go over that 20-foot mark.
In
Out
21:03
So I don't know if we want to go a little bit more than that, anything over 20 feet, or is that being— could be.
In
Out
21:13
Yeah, I think anything over 20, 25 feet within that range, because some of these pickup trucks are— correct, we'll go over the 25.
In
Out
21:23
I mean, we— 25, so we gotta— correct.
In
Out
21:25
Oh yeah.
In
Out
21:27
So we'll kind of be back to square one.
In
Out
21:29
So we're not looking where we're at now.
In
Out
21:32
And even the increased enforcement currently, it's these large vehicles, the Penske trucks, the budget trucks, these dump bodies.
In
Out
21:39
So then I would say probably a 30-foot range or more would be a better— okay, in my opinion, because some of these pickup trucks are really long, lengthy.
In
Out
21:50
Yeah, correct.
In
Out
21:51
Right.
In
Out
21:51
And they use the personal Right.
In
Out
21:55
So do we want to put the length and the increased tonnage?
In
Out
21:59
Or do we want to do one or the other?
In
Out
22:02
You said like, for the amendment, just put both.
In
Out
22:04
Okay, whatever makes it easier.
In
Out
22:05
And I did confirm we're not changing it.
In
Out
22:08
Legal department knew.
In
Out
22:09
And so we could, you know what I'm saying?
In
Out
22:11
I don't want to, I don't want to change the rules as we, as we keep playing.
In
Out
22:14
The rules are there, and then they all can be a one-shot deal.
In
Out
22:17
It makes it easier for them to understand it.
In
Out
22:19
So I like your suggestion.
In
Out
22:21
Okay.
In
Out
22:23
Weight or length?
In
Out
22:27
I think we're recommending both.
In
Out
22:28
If it's 30 feet, it's going to be 5 tons.
In
Out
22:31
Yeah, easily.
In
Out
22:32
So, okay, which we can, we can do both.
In
Out
22:35
We can do 30 feet or more, 5 ton or more.
In
Out
22:39
30 feet or more, 5 ton or more.
In
Out
22:42
Okay.
In
Out
22:43
Motion for that?
In
Out
22:44
Yeah, I'll make a motion.
In
Out
22:47
Second.
In
Out
22:48
So to amend the city ordinance 70-319, all-night parking of commercial vehicles, to add up to 30 feet or, or 5 times, and keep the times.
In
Out
23:10
5 PM, 7 AM.
In
Out
23:13
Yep.
In
Out
23:14
Yep.
In
Out
23:14
Okay, first by John, 5 to 7.
In
Out
23:18
Yep.
In
Out
23:19
I'm sorry, I apologize.
In
Out
23:21
First by Kristen and seconded by John.
In
Out
23:23
Yeah, we'll see how that works.
In
Out
23:24
Okay, very good.
In
Out
23:26
Request for handicap spots, 124 Eagle Street.
In
Out
23:34
124 Eagle Street.
In
Out
23:35
Okay.
In
Out
23:38
Um, which street?
In
Out
23:39
Eagle Street.
In
Out
23:41
Eagle Street.
In
Out
23:43
Applicant drives, has a valid plaque and a registration provided.
In
Out
23:46
Applicant's a tenant.
In
Out
23:47
There's no off-street parking.
In
Out
23:48
I did take a look at this over here, and I didn't see any issues with that application at all.
In
Out
24:01
Which one do you Grace Holtz.
In
Out
24:03
Grace Holtz.
In
Out
24:04
What's your relation here?
In
Out
24:05
He's my dad.
In
Out
24:06
That's dad.
In
Out
24:08
Okay.
In
Out
24:22
And there's no blocking now.
In
Out
24:29
It's right next to Joe's, right?
In
Out
24:31
Exactly.
In
Out
24:34
No issues.
In
Out
24:37
Motion to approve.
In
Out
24:38
Approved by John and then seconded by Chris.
In
Out
24:42
So about 12 weeks, you're going to notice maintenance go out there.
In
Out
24:44
They're going to do some measurements.
In
Out
24:45
It still has to go to ordinance committee and council.
In
Out
24:48
You may get an invite.
In
Out
24:50
Same thing, it's not required to attend, but you're more than welcome to attend.
In
Out
24:53
Okay, you're welcome.
In
Out
24:55
And then also that once that spot is up, it's, it's not one exclusive spot.
In
Out
24:59
Anyone with a valid placard can park.
In
Out
25:02
Thank you.
In
Out
25:03
Have a good night.
In
Out
25:05
Request from 1427 North Main Street for a handicap spot.
In
Out
25:09
Applicant does drive and has a valid placard and registration provided.
In
Out
25:12
Applicant's a tenant.
In
Out
25:13
Letter from the homeowner.
In
Out
25:16
No off-street parking.
In
Out
25:17
Is that person here?
In
Out
25:20
You don't have to.
In
Out
25:22
You're good.
In
Out
25:24
The paperwork is in order.
In
Out
25:27
And there is no parking in that driveway there.
In
Out
25:29
No, it belongs to the first floor lease.
In
Out
25:32
They've been there for like a decade.
In
Out
25:35
I don't see any other further issues with that.
In
Out
25:39
Motion approved.
In
Out
25:39
Motion to approve by John.
In
Out
25:41
Second.
In
Out
25:42
Second by Chris.
In
Out
25:43
You're all set.
In
Out
25:44
Thank you.
In
Out
25:44
Yeah, thank you.
In
Out
25:47
One up 6 Kishan Street for handicap spot.
In
Out
25:53
Applicant is a minor and has a valid placard.
In
Out
25:56
Caretaker drives, registration provided.
In
Out
25:59
The applicant's a tenant and there is no off-street parking.
In
Out
26:06
The, uh, placard goes with the It's for my son.
In
Out
26:12
Yes, that could go with the, um, minor.
In
Out
26:16
That can go in any car.
In
Out
26:19
But you're looking for a spot, I presume, to take them out of the house and do what you need to do.
In
Out
26:22
Yes, I actually have a question too.
In
Out
26:24
I actually sent an email to, um, if there's a way that I can also have like autistic sign in the street because people like— I almost got hit twice getting Out of my car.
In
Out
26:37
So my son frequently goes out of the house and everything, so that's my issue.
In
Out
26:42
That's a tough area right near the park.
In
Out
26:45
Yeah, yeah, we can, we can absolutely put some, you know, some signage up there, some slow signage, um, autistic child.
In
Out
26:51
Absolutely.
In
Out
26:51
That's not something that the board needs to vote on.
In
Out
26:53
That's something that we can put up.
In
Out
26:54
So I'll go ahead and do a work order so we can have maintenance put some signage out there for you.
In
Out
26:59
And I saw no further issues with the, uh, Application.
In
Out
27:04
Motion to approve.
In
Out
27:05
Motion to approve by Helen and seconded by Chris.
In
Out
27:09
No, John.
In
Out
27:11
Brief recess, John.
In
Out
27:13
You're all set.
In
Out
27:15
Okay, thank you.
In
Out
27:20
Request from a resident, 322 Barn Oak Street, for handicap spot.
In
Out
27:23
The applicant drives, has a valid plaque and registration provided.
In
Out
27:26
The applicant's a tenant, and there is a letter from the homeowner I bet there was no Wall Street parking available right here.
In
Out
27:33
322 Brownell.
In
Out
27:35
Say it.
In
Out
27:35
No, I can't.
In
Out
27:36
322 Brownell.
In
Out
27:37
322 Brownell.
In
Out
27:38
Yeah, just saw the pictures.
In
Out
27:46
There's no issues with this.
In
Out
27:47
So there's like, it's like 25 apartments.
In
Out
27:50
I wouldn't have— I, I just moved there in June, and one of The day I went to look at it, because the apartment's beautiful, it's all brand new.
In
Out
27:58
I kept turning all these apartments down because I need a first floor, because I only have 40% left of my lungs.
In
Out
28:05
And that one was great, but the ones I turned down was because there was no parking.
In
Out
28:10
When I went to this one, I got right in front of the door.
In
Out
28:13
Then I went and I paid for the lease, signed the lease right in front of the door.
In
Out
28:18
Well, all the teachers from Morton school was still in at the time.
In
Out
28:22
From that day on, as soon as I moved in, would park.
In
Out
28:25
And the landlords asked the school many times to ask the teachers to park in the parking lot, but they don't.
In
Out
28:31
And then there's at least— there's 7 driveways on this one block, people that park in there, which only leaves us with 13 spaces.
In
Out
28:41
So I go to work, I can't walk far.
In
Out
28:43
I had to let my groceries just go bad in the car because I had to park a block away.
In
Out
28:49
I can't carry things and walk.
In
Out
28:52
I can walk, but I can't carry things and walk.
In
Out
28:56
And so I just need something so I can park closer.
In
Out
29:01
And I know it doesn't belong to me, and all of a sudden everybody will have it.
In
Out
29:09
Is there any other spots there?
In
Out
29:11
I know it I know the area you're talking about.
In
Out
29:13
Is there any other handicap spots near there?
In
Out
29:15
I didn't remember seeing it.
In
Out
29:16
I saw the next— I don't know the area from up there.
In
Out
29:20
Yeah, the next left, whatever.
In
Out
29:23
Boomer Street.
In
Out
29:26
What is that?
In
Out
29:27
Is that Boomer Street?
In
Out
29:30
Yeah.
In
Out
29:31
No issues.
In
Out
29:32
I saw no issues with this applicant.
In
Out
29:34
Motion to approve.
In
Out
29:35
Second.
In
Out
29:36
Approved by John and seconded by Chris.
In
Out
29:38
You're all set.
In
Out
29:39
Thank you.
In
Out
29:43
Request from 949 Locust Street.
In
Out
29:50
Applicants— a minor has a— you don't have to come down.
In
Out
29:52
No, you, you could stay right there.
In
Out
29:53
Stay right here.
In
Out
29:54
Come up.
In
Out
29:56
We're just making sure that you're here.
In
Out
29:58
Uh, the applicant is a minor, has a valid placard, caretaker drives, registration provided.
In
Out
30:03
The applicant's a tenant A letter from the homeowner that there was no off-street parking.
In
Out
30:09
This is similar to what we just had with the other— yeah, it's 949 Olga Street.
In
Out
30:21
Off-street parking is not available.
In
Out
30:26
There was no further— I saw no issues with this application.
In
Out
30:29
Motion to approve by Helen and seconded by You're all set, folks.
In
Out
30:35
Again, about 14 weeks or so, and it's not an exclusive spot.
In
Out
30:41
298 Mulberry, right here.
In
Out
30:43
You can stay right there.
In
Out
30:46
You can stay there.
In
Out
30:49
298 Mulberry, an applicant does drive and has a valid plaque and a registration provided.
In
Out
30:53
The applicant is the homeowner, but there is no off-street parking.
In
Out
30:58
And again, that's a tough area over there.
In
Out
30:59
Looks like their property's kept dead.
In
Out
31:19
Freezing in here.
In
Out
31:23
Clearly there's no parking over there.
In
Out
31:27
The applicant— the applicant is, uh, the application's in order.
In
Out
31:29
Okay, we'll make a motion to approve.
In
Out
31:32
A motion to approve by John and seconded by Chris.
In
Out
31:35
You're all set, sir.
In
Out
31:36
Thank you.
In
Out
31:37
You're welcome.
In
Out
31:41
Thank you.
In
Out
31:42
12 June Street.
In
Out
31:44
All right, you can stay right there.
In
Out
31:47
I did take a look at this one as well.
In
Out
31:53
The applicant drives and has a valid placard and a registration provided.
In
Out
31:56
The applicant's a homeowner and there is no off-street parking.
In
Out
32:02
Absolutely correct about that.
In
Out
32:07
Looks like you could have had a driveway there at one point.
In
Out
32:11
It looks like a nice garden.
In
Out
32:12
So the, uh, The application is in order and there is no Hofstra parking there at all.
In
Out
32:20
I'll make a motion.
In
Out
32:22
Chris makes a motion to approve.
In
Out
32:24
Second.
In
Out
32:24
Seconded by John.
In
Out
32:25
We're all set.
In
Out
32:27
Okay.
In
Out
32:27
54 Kellogg.
In
Out
32:32
Must be you.
In
Out
32:34
Nope.
In
Out
32:35
54 Kellogg for a handicap spot.
In
Out
32:37
Motion to table.
In
Out
32:41
Motion to table by Helen, seconded by Chris.
In
Out
32:45
And the last is 293 Mulberry.
In
Out
32:47
That's me.
In
Out
32:49
Applicant drives.
In
Out
32:52
You have a— she has a valid placard and registration provided.
In
Out
32:54
Applicants are telling a tent, and there is no off-street parking available for you guys right across the street.
In
Out
33:00
Yes, that's why I laughed.
In
Out
33:02
Yeah, yeah, right across the street.
In
Out
33:03
Horrible.
In
Out
33:04
No, it's stuff over there.
In
Out
33:06
Well, you know what it is?
In
Out
33:06
There's a guy Across the street.
In
Out
33:08
He has 5 cars and he's got a handicap and he has a driveway, so he parks all the cars on the street.
In
Out
33:14
What's the address over there again?
In
Out
33:15
I don't know his address.
In
Out
33:17
It's the yellow house, same side as you?
In
Out
33:20
Opposite side where this man is.
In
Out
33:22
If you can give us that address, we'll take a peek at it and maybe open up something else, because the last thing we want is somebody abusing it.
In
Out
33:30
No, maybe I'll take a write-down on my next— did she just move?
In
Out
33:33
It's horrible.
In
Out
33:34
Yeah.
In
Out
33:35
All right, so the applicant's application is in, is in order, and there is no, um, off-street parking.
In
Out
33:40
Motion to approve.
In
Out
33:41
Motion to approve by Helen and seconded by Chris.
In
Out
33:44
You're all set.
In
Out
33:45
And I'll take a peek at that other thing.
In
Out
33:49
Let's see if I can find— is that 293 in that area?
In
Out
33:54
Okay, I'll take a look at that.
In
Out
33:56
All right, rescinded handicap spots, a request from the Requests from the traffic department have the following handicap spaces rescinded due to individuals no longer utilizing the space because they have either moved, they no longer drive, or they have passed away.
