I'd like to call this meeting is this is this on okay I'd like to call this meeting of the Fall licensing board to order to order it is Wednesday February 19th at 5:116 p.m. to my right is commissioner Mike Pereira chairman Greg brilliant is not here tonight and I am commissioner Melanie cadiro before we begin I would like to read the following open meeting law pursuant to the open

meeting law any person may make an audio or video recording of this public meeting or may transmit the meeting through any media attendees are therefore advised that such recordings or Transmissions are being made whether perceived or unperceived by those present and are deemed acknowledged and permissible the city Charter section 9-18 mandates that all multiple member bodies develop and adopt such rules or

policies for public comment we have adopted such a policy which in short provides for citizen input on licensing board specific matters at the beginning of the meeting there is a signup sheet that is located at the front of the room nobody no one signed up okay moving on to item number two on the agenda one- day permits um a espiro Santo Church 311 alen Street Andrew raposo hello hello Andrew raposo 1166

and we have a we don't need one we don't need one that they had one just recently okay any questions so I I do have a question so um what you sell there now you is is not changing it'll be the same type of food so so is that is it what New York Pagel sells too is it the same type of thing yeah it's very similar so breakfast sandwiches deli sandwiches Bakery items

coffee right so I'll Grant I'll make a motion to Grant a common Vic's license so it's just a it's just do we just give it don't they already have one they do but they're changing kind of their concept they making it a New York veh so they have to get a brand new one we're going to modify the one that they had they can keep the same number as they

Silva Nathan Sylvia 130 Underwood 130 underw okay and could you tell us a little bit about what you're doing yeah so um we're taking over the cafeteria that's on the lower level of 99 South Main um hours are going to be I believe right now Monday through Friday um 8 to2 uh opening date we're shooting for is the 25th which is a Tuesday of next week okay going to be like the same food same

concept that we have at Christopher's at 1816 okay and the seating capacity you have at 100 yes is that correct yeah

did we need a uh approval no okay any questions where exactly is this this is it directly right across the street The Travelers The Travelers downstairs is a cafeteria yep is this going to be like a cafeteria style type thing or is it going to be sit down meals like a regular restaurant I'm just curious Cafe it kind of could be both in a sense um so we're going to the tables

oills uh Restaurant to my client uh obviously we will be back once we figure out the name they want to use and hiring food people it's you know we haven't closed so until we close you know I'm going to ask you guys to let us have you know you don't have to come back you just need to get me a DBA you don't come in front of the board so that'll make it

a bit easier for you well there may be switches personel we don't until this is over the problem is unfortunately one of the people that owned this business passed away last year and there's a lot of slowness and getting this we started this last August to do the purchase we're finally up to this point because it took a while for the one of the sellers to get appointed as personal representative to sell the

business and so it's it's been taking us a little while so we've put this in because we hopefully we'll get this transferred and that way once we do that if it's just a DBA that'll be simple otherwise we'll come back uh and do what we need to do but my client uh has been a manager in different businesses manages business a business right now um the Personnel will be trained at that

point to handle liquor uh we obviously will be once we get to a point of getting the restaurant rehabed we'll apply for a new common vitual license in the entity's name but we it's included in the liquor license oh it is oh I didn't realize we got all of it it used to be yeah used to be separate used to be separate so okay I'm modernizing things but uh we again we're

hoping they still have some estate issues to resolve before we can close and so until that time we're hoping sometime in April we'll be able to operate and could be pushed on to May depending on the sellers position of where they are but we'd like to transfer the license uh they are actually or gills will close uh the week after they're closing at the end of the month themselves so that we'll be able to ass

soon as we close be able to start operating okay what would that will the hours be changing will they be the same I think the hours normally are from 11:30 a.m.

to midnight now and that's what we expect okay if they if we do change we'll come back to ask for that same days yeah it was seven days a week okay and we do have a favorable police report so that is all set any questions so oh guilds is still open right now as we speak it'll be open for one more week and you guys will open shortly therea um what kind of food is

it is going to be Portuguese food same type of menu or it's different that's what they're hoping that's why they're getting the part of the sale is recipes and oh cool she's more in management of the restaurant but they have to get chefs and everything cuz those people don't want to work anymore they're retiring with with the owners we certainly appreciate you taking the interest in having a business in Fall

River because that that probably sit vacant for a while before they you know they were Des close so it was taking a while to to decide do we use this plan do we make it smaller cuz they originally got a variance to put apartment in and originally we were thinking well maybe we're going to make it a smaller restaurant and put an apartment the side keep the restaurant but finally you know the last few weeks

I've been talking to people that want to run the kitchen and everything so it made it sound like we can have a full kitchen and serve the same type of food that they did so it's an adventure with that I'll make the motion to transfer the all um liquor the all alcohol common vica's license for 's to uh 95 County Street and I'll second the motion no one's here so the motion passes thank
