uh good evening the November 16th traffic board meeting will commence rules pursuant to the open meeting law any person may make an audio or video recording of this public meeting or may transmit the meeting through any medium attendees are therefore advised that such recordings or Transmissions are being made whether perceived or unperceived by those present and on deemed acknowledged and permissible

you may have a concern with you at all right if you don't have any curb Cuts this week very good handicap spots I wish we have a request from uh 129 County Street 129 Colony street thank you by the property the thing does dry the license registration of blackhead are all valid for his address he is a tenant there he does not have the ability to have any off-shree parking recommend to approve the handicap spa

restaurants that might be in the area of your home so anyone with a valid plaque if you talk there at any time so it is not your spot okay but if someone continues to park there then you call Laura am I right you're right Paul Laura and she or tell that person to apply the same way you did so they can get a handicap spot and the second part is so today at the

traffic board meeting you know all applications will get approved depending on the board those applications that are approved by next week you're going to see someone go and do the measurements and I need those measurements to go into um to your application and then it goes into city council it'll be heard for uh first meeting referred to ordinance and that's why it takes anywhere between six

the only issue we have over there I did I did take a look at the property he is a he is a tenant there although there is a driveway there's a note explaining that he doesn't have the ability to use it I know yeah we do that's what I just said he does not have the ability to use it okay so he has to park on the street so the issue over there though is

that the address for his driver's license and registration is not uh for warm Shutter Street now we're gonna we just moved here right right okay have that taken care of and I don't see any reason not to approve it okay the rest of the board approves it all right so that's the issue of 149 warm solder I did check the application it is an order I did check the property there was a

driveway however there are tenants and they do not have uh the Leisure to park there um I recommend to approve after the show that the driver's license and registration for the placket holder is changed until he comes in with his change of addresses so as soon as you change just come on in we'll make copies of the registration with the with the address that you live now and put on okay okay

make it a one-way South letter you offered sure is I'm writing to inform you that recently a new tenant artistic dance studio has moved in and is now occupying the space in the building the president have 18 Thompson Street Fall River Mass we are very pleased with our new tenant and have agreed to a long-term lease autistic dance studio offers various means of dance to the children students

of all ages and they are very busy recently I've driven by a few times before classes beginning session and I became very concerned with the traffic pattern on Thompson Street which runs alongside the building Thompson Street as you know it is a two-way with cos pop along both sides the issue during the busier times when parents are dropping off and picking up children is that some enter Thompson

Street via president Ave and others enter Thompson Street via Brownell Street this has already caused significant traffic jams and in these cases numerous cars must back out to either president have a runoff Street to allow the passenger of the passage of others this is concerning for a few reasons in that there are children walking around to find their parents and their cause plus there are multiple vehicles in a

backing down the street to allow others to pass with that you are requesting that the follower of traffic Park division consider changing Thompson Street to a one-way and continue to allow parking on both sides of the street your recommendation sir would be that Vehicles enter Thompson Street via Brownell Street and traffic for South exiting onto President Avenue with that it would be a

do not enter sign portion of the corner of Thompson Street president Adams this would Aid in deliveries received by the auto body supplies and paint store located at 266 president Ave for them and their deliveries large 18-wheel trucks entered Thompson Street via Brownell Street an exit onto president Adams that is the easiest traffic pattern for large vehicles in that respective Street

to avoid possible injury or vehicle property damage I respectfully ask that you any traffic department please consider their request and make necessary adjustments with signs posted as soon as possible thank you in advance Jacob the president of shama Los tolos my Sanic channels yes sir close okay thank you I did check out that area I am familiar with it I mean my first recommendation is that

kids should not be just out and about running in the street is more than likely to get hurt

Lindsay one way from North to South Lindsay runs uh both ways now is a two-way I don't see an issue there however we need to table this issue to allow for the Neighbors there to be advised of this potential change our opportunity to come here before the board and everyone else and have their say that's understood that sounds good you have anything else you'd like to add sir no no that would happen at all I don't

see an issue yet if I may spreequest as far as the exiting oh my parking lot onto Thompson Street sometimes we get a little pin there which makes it a little narrow and hard to exit so if we're gonna exit to the right if maybe we can post do not park for five feet or whatever to allow that additionally a parking spot was gained as garage Gallery which used to be Rally

Auto or whatnot prior to my purchasing of the property there was once a garage there which now has a curb cut so respectfully that is now an entrance to um a gallery so a spot's been gained technically so if we can maybe allow for a little leeway to allow the cars to comfortably turn to the right um yeah usually what we do we do signs we go usually about five ten

feet depending the width of the street so if it's really narrow we try to go 10 feet that way when you come out you have a nice you know area to also go back out there and make it make a note we have it on Boomer okay if you check out Boomerang we have it no parking between signs but they have like a garage thing right what are the ages of the children

they're all ages you know certainly the younger my kids are not walking around but as they get a little older you know they'll roam a little bit you know but I mean she's fortunately very busy which is good um and Angels range you know from Toddlers to you know I've been in the building yeah have you yeah in the back what do you think it's only on my days off what do you

um now for that next meeting um is there is that next month the month to follow well we don't because of the holiday um it's so close we're not going to have a meeting in December okay good so it'll be the third Wednesday in January 2023 so that a little unfortunate do I have to be here the reason why we have to table or no parking all that yeah so the

right on the corner also for the safety of them going into it and all that so that will be brought up so once that's approved you're probably not going to see that street made a one-way until probably the end of February yeah which I don't have a problem with you know it's uh as long as everybody has their yeah but I think there won't be an issue you know we're pretty friendly with the neighbors

and I think they probably understand um we're not necessarily compromising parking spots being with um my only question is do I have to be here for the next meeting for any reason I'm having surgery in the second week yeah I mean if you if you want I mean maybe have the girl from the dance studio come you know when she can explain how you know she's very concerned about kids that are crossing the street with the

parents or the I mean I don't know what do you think I mean we have your letter yeah she's been gone into the record I'm familiar with the layout um I don't I don't see an issue with it so obviously the rest of the department oh I don't see an issue with them and I think it makes sense and you picked up another Pockets you just do a little ten foot uh

a curve there for vehicles to get out um safely without any any issues and um you know again we've got to put it out to the residence there yeah certainly understood you know because it will impact the neighborhood so it's at that point it'll be up to them to come down to the meeting and and have their say if if they want to and and you know they can get on to Boomer go down to Brownell

you know which is really quick so there's access to Thompson street with no problem you're not taking away parking you're keeping you know parking on both sides I don't see an issue either so and this will give us plenty of time to get all the names from the street mail it out we'll probably mail it out um the second week of December so that way they're aware of that meeting

um and then we'll have the meeting in January okay I'll try to attempt yeah if you can't that's okay I think it'll be in rough shape for at least a week now speedy recovery show thank you yes definitely thank you for your time sure happy holidays thank you and we'll see happy turkey day the next issue is the next issue is the rescinded handicap spots please being rescinded for individuals that know that are no
